William Holder

William D. “Bill” Holder, age 72, of Belleville, IL, born on January 26, 1946 in Portia, AR died on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Holder was a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.  He was an international marketing manager for McDonnell-Douglas for 25 years.  Bill also was the owner of Gems and Jewels in Edwardsville, IL; he loved making jewelry.  He was an avid Cardinals fan and woodworker.  He also loved cars, especially his 1979 Maserati Marek SS.  He enjoyed traveling, animals, working on the house, and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beatrice, nee Cagle, Holder; and his brother, Thomas W. Holder.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne, nee Ritchie, Holder; his son, William Scott Holder of Belleville, IL; his two grandsons, William Blake and Evan Alexander Holder; and his three siblings, Sherry H. (Tom) McGrew of Lutz, FL, James A. Holder of Minneapolis, MN, and Kenneth (Paulette) Holder of Tampa, FL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. Charles McGee officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
