2020 Christmas Food Drive

Our 4th annual Christmas Food Drive was a big success, thanks to all of you!
The Fairview Heights Food Pantry and Catholic Urban Programs accepted your donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, and cash. The recipients - people of all ages in our community - will stave off hunger because of your generosity.
The Christmas Food Drive was held in memory of Terri Sherfy, the wife of long-time funeral director Mark Sherfy, and owner James Kassly, both of whom dedicated their lives and careers to helping others.
In addition to anonymous donors, we recognize:
Associated Bank, Kathy Koch; Caravia Financial Services, Sarah and Phil Caravia; in honor of Hazel Baker; in memory of Aunt Chicken; Hospice of Southern Illinois; in honor of Ward E. “Newt” Newton and his service to the East Saint Louis community; Chris and Steve Soucy and family; Grace Church, Fairview Heights, Pastor Hal Santos; in memory of Bob Soucy, Dee Dee Funk, “Spanky” Mell, Sharon Henderson, Louis Toth, Barb Wickman, Carey Worsham; Wondolowski Family; in memory of Ann Graham from the Segobiano Family; in memory of Jim Kassly from Father Clyde Grogan; in memory of Danny, Teresa, and Kevin McEvilly; in loving memory of Rose Viner.
Thank you again for your generosity. Best wishes for a new year filled with many blessings.

WELCOME TO "Kassly Mortuary"

At Kassly Mortuary we take the health of our families and staff very seriously.  These are unique times with challenges for our communities throughout the world.  We will continue to conduct our family business as usual as possible, either in person or by telephone.  However, we would ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

Effective immediately until further notice, scheduled events(funerals) and social gatherings with more than 50 people are prohibited across St. Clair County, IL as recommended by the CDC and the St. Clair County Health Department.  This decision will be reevaluated constantly and revised accordingly after communication with the region's top health care professionals.

Additionally, Effective May 1, 2020:  Wearing a face covering in public places or when working.  Any individual who is over the age of 2 and able to medically tolerate a face-covering (a mask or cloth face covering) shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain a six-foot social distance.  Face-coverings are required in public indoor spaces such as stores.

As recommended by the CDC and St. Clair County Health Department.:

Please be smart when it comes to hygiene.

Please do not attend services if you are exhibiting symptoms of illness such as fever, cough,  and shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing.

Please do not bring in outside food for visitations and services.

The mortuary has a current supply of tissues and hand sanitizer for

use while you are here.  This is not a substitute for your own personal hygiene products.

At anytime should you have any questions or concerns, we are always available by phone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
