Thomas Penn Obituary

Thomas L. Penn, age 75, of Caseyville, IL, born on November 17, 1945 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, December 11, 2020 at his residence.

Tom was a carpenter in the construction industry until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Tom loved outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, and camping. He especially loved his house, which was more like a cabin or lodge. It was set back in the woods, with a small pond and plenty of wildlife. His friends loved his house too and would get together once a week for “fishing meetings,” as they called it. Tom loved his dogs, Sam #1 and Sam #2. They were inseparable, as Tom took them everywhere with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jennie, nee Ziamant, Penn; and his brothers and sisters, Leo Penn, Bill Penn, Eugene Penn, John Penn, Sr., Jim Penn, George Penn, Rosie Karpowitz, and Mildred Kobylinski.

He is survived by his son, Dale (Michelle) Penn; his grandchildren, Daxton Penn, Dakota Penn, and Allison Penn; and his brother, Charles Penn. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to Partners 4 Pets, Troy, IL.

We know Tom would like to thank those who supported and looked after him during the past year.
