Susan Keeley Obituary

Susan M. Keeley, nee Stolze, age 77, of Belleville, IL born on September 18, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL died after a sudden illness on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Susan was a homemaker. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Susan was a volunteer driver for cancer therapy patients through the American Cancer Society. She also loved playing golf at Yorktown Golf Course.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary, nee Westerfield, Stolze; and her sister, Kitty Janick.

Susan is survived by her husband of 40 years, Henry E. “Hank” Keeley; her daughters, Anita Carragher and Andrea (Joe) Bommarito; 4 stepchildren, Linda (Dan) Shine, Geno (Anne) Keeley, Susan Keely, and Christopher Keeley; her sister, Lisa Schilling; her brother-in-law, Patrick “P.J.”  (Virginia) Keeley; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  We ask that you remember Susan in your prayers.

In lieu of flowers, Susan requested donations be made to S.A.V.E. Inc., 3001 Save Road, Belleville, IL 62221.

Due to COVID, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.  Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
