Robert T. Dwyer, age 65, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Bob was born on November 15, 1955, in St. Louis, MO. He was proud to serve St. Louis as a police officer and later as a homicide detective. After fourteen years of police work, Bob joined the DEA—where he worked as an agent for twenty years. He retired as a polygrapher for the State Department in 2015.
Bob lived the last twenty-five years of his life in O’Fallon, IL, with his wife and four daughters. He was a history buff who loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and listen to all kinds of music, especially The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Dwyer.
Bob leaves his wife, Constance M. Dwyer, nee Hewitt; his daughters, Rachael (Ben) Peterson, Cosette (Philip) Cressler, Nellie Dwyer (Blake Britton), and Bernadette Dwyer; his mother, Mary C. Dwyer, nee Riley; his siblings, Nancy (Rich) Rice, Patricia (Rick) Will, Jack (Darlene) Dwyer, Edward (Sheryl) Dwyer, and Mary Helen (Glenn) Drexl; his mother-in-law Shirley Hewitt, nee O’Gara; and his sister-in-law, Sherry (Charlie) Stock. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 20121, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL, with Fr. Jim Dieters officiating.
