Rita Durzo

Rita Durzo, nee Keeling, age 78, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on September 25, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 30, 2022 with her family by her side.  

Rita worked as a deli manager for Kroger and National for over 20 years. She was a member of Meat Cutters Local #534, East St. Louis, IL. Her favorites, besides her family, were Elvis and the Casino Queen. She was a great and loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dally and Dorothy, nee Roche, Keeling; her sister-in-law, Flo Keeling; and her mother-in-law, Adele Mohl.

Rita is survived by her husband, Andrew Durzo; her children, Angie (Chris) Nastoff of Fairview Heights, IL, Debbie (Phil) Childers of Collinsville, IL, and Jeff (Holly) Durzo of Shiloh, IL; her grandchildren, Dayton Durzo, Christopher Nastoff, Brooks Hackney, and Gabby Durzo; her brothers, Dale Keeling of Fairview Heights, IL, and Donald (Brenda) Keeling of Springfield, IL; her brother-in-law, Don (Jean) Durzo of Atlanta, GA; and many loving nieces and nephews.  

Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. 

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
