Marie Ann (Racheff) Mushill

Marie Ann Mushill, nee Racheff, age 91, of East St. Louis, IL, passed away at her residence.  Heaven gained a special angel on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Marie worked as a computer security clerk for AVSCOM in St. Louis, MO for several years.  She was a volunteer cook at Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, IL and was a nurse’s aide at Memorial Hospital Convalescent Center.  She was very active in St. Philips Parish.  Marie was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader.  She loved to sew and bake cookies for her grandkids who affectionately called her “Mamma Moose.”  She was happiest spending time with her family and friends, from time at home to outings, especially time with her children, grandchildren, and their friends.  She also had a special place in her heart for her pets, from Fido and Snookie to Kitty and Lucky. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mushill, Sr.; and her parents, Tony and Caroline, nee Mainridge, Racheff.

Marie is survived by her children, Cheri Mushill of Edwardsville, IL, Raymond (Lana) Mushill, Jr of Collinsville, IL and Ron (Renee) Mushill of Maryville, IL; her grandchildren, Caroline Mushill, Raymond Mushill, III, Amanda Mushill, Justin Mushill, Logan Mushill and Brennan Mushill; her very dear brother, Stephen Racheff of Marietta, GA; her special friends, Vera, Irene, and Lil; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Ondessonk.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Heights, IL.
