Maria T. Otero

Maria T. Otero, age 88, of Fairmont City, IL, born on February 18, 1934, in Poanas, Durango, Mexico, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at her residence. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamberto Otero Garcia; her parents, Agustin Olivas and Valentina Gaucin Olivas; and her siblings, Cristobal Olivas, Maximiliano Olivas, Domitila Olivas, Jose Luis Olivas, and Raquel Olivas, nee Gaucin.

Maria is survived by her eight loving children, Jesus Otero, Beatriz Otero, Hector Otero, Maria Concepcion Otero, Alfredo Otero, Jaime Otero, Jose Luis Otero, and Hilda Otero; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Leticia Olivas, Concepcion Olivas, Jorge Olivas, Juan Olivas, and Carlos Olivas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held  on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL, with Fr. Harold Fisher officiating. Interment  will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
