Lori Ann Cooper

Lori Ann “Ruby” Cooper, age 59, of Cahokia, IL, born on January 30, 1965, in Mesquite, TX, died on Friday, March 22, 2024, at her residence.       

Lori Ann loved to spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren.  She was a loving mother, and grandmother and we will miss her terribly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Cooper; her mother, Dorothy Cooper; her sons, James Robert Herndon, Jr., and Billy Jack Herndon; her brothers, Eddie Mike Cooper, Howard Jo Cooper, Alfred David Cooper, and Richard Donald Cooper; her nephews, Alfred David Cooper, Jr., Louis Cooper, and Eddie Howard Cooper; her sister-in-law, Katie Durbin; her brother-in-law, Danny Jack Herndon; and her adopted daughter, Melinda Wann.

Lori Ann is survived by her husband, James Robert Herndon; her daughter, Melissa (Kenny) Bradshaw; her special friend, Mike Hamilton; her grandchildren, Nathan J. Brown, Haley J. Brown, Danny J. Herndon, Patience Jo Herndon, and Taylor Bradshaw; her great-grandchildren, Levi and Giovanni; her mother and father-in-law, Joann Rokita and Don Rokita; her father-in-law, Ronald Bradshaw; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Dan) Allison, Christine (Rudy) Rodriguez, and Eileen Schulte; her brothers-in-law, Michael Rokita, and Joe Rokita; and her adopted daughters and son-in-law, Amanda (Aaron) Wells, Kaitlynn Wells, Ariana Wells, Christian Wells, Kadence Wells, Savannah Wells, Kali Wells, Ellionna Wells, AJ Hunter, Annie Hunter, Casey Jo Staggs and family, and Briana (Pat) Vanderveer; and nieces and nephews, Annie (Harry) Girton, Esther (Van) Cooper Wheeler, Joe (Cathy) Cooper, Mickey Russell Edward Cooper, Danny (Marilyn) Allison, and James, Jack, and Jace; her great-niece, Wren.  She is also survived by many more loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and can be taken at the mortuary.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March, 28, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will follow in Caseyville City Cemetery, Caseyville,  IL.
