James F. Klauck

James F. Klauck, age 89, of St. Louis, MO, born on July 16, 1932, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Red Bud Rehab and Care Center.

James was a 4-year United States Navy Korean War Veteran and served on the USS Currituck and also was an honorary member of the USS Hassayampa and recipient of a Certificate of Honor for military service from Patriot Angels.  He was an assistant buyer for National Auto Supply for over 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #592, East St. Louis, IL, and alumni of CBC and SLU.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lydia, nee Schwalenberg Klauck.

James is survived by his children, Edward T. (Sherril) Klauck of Columbia, MO, Linda C. (Don) Hinz of Carson City, NV, David J. (Kaori) Klauck of Yokosuka, Japan, and Steven A. (Socorro) Klauck of Yuma, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Alisha Gladhart, Lena Klauck, Megan Thaggard, Ryan Klauck, Anthony Klauck and Alyssa Marquez; 6 great-grandchildren, Edward D., Eva and Dani Lee, Dylan, Damon and Samantha Sue; and his sister, Judy Larson of Fairview Heights, IL.  He is also survived by extended family member, Lynn Conrad, and a host of friends.

The family wishes to thank Red Bud Regional Care Center and Hospital for their loving medical care and attention; and to his lifelong friend, Betty Frye, and her family and Pam French for all of their help and assistance.

Memorials are preferred as masses, American Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Fr. Stan Konieczny officiating.  Interment with honors, will follow in at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO at 11:30 a.m.
