Elizabeth B. Foster, age 85, of Valrico, FL, born on May 12, 1936, in Bronx, NY, died on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Tampa General Hospital.
Elizabeth was a 1954 graduate of Port Jefferson High School, Port Jefferson, NY and worked for more than 30 years at the Village of Cahokia. She met the love of her life, Paul, in Fort Walton Beach, FL and they were married on October 5, 1956. Liz loved watching football, especially Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, playing and watching golf, traveling, and spending time with her family and her grand dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Paul Foster; her parents Alexander and MaryAnn Porter; brothers Alexander (Pinky) Porter, William Gill, Buddy Gill, and sister, Mary Ellen Schrage.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Jimmy) McDonald of Valrico, FL, grandson, Ryan McDonald of Valrico, FL, and grandson, Corp. Austin McDonald (USMC) of Quantico, VA, sister-in-law, Margie Weaver of Arnold, MO, and many wonderful, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials may be made to SPCA of Tampa Bay or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will follow at 11:15 a.m. in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
