Edward “Bunky” Volluz, age 88, of Belleville, IL, born on August 21, 1932 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Paul’s Home, Belleville, IL.
Edward retired after 35 years as a machine operator for Illinois American Water, Belleville, IL, was a Korean War Navy Veteran, and a member of Laborers Local #459 in Belleville, IL. He also loved gardening and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death his wife, Loreva J. Volluz, nee Lybarger; his son, Bill Thompson; his parents, Edward M. and Armenta F. nee, Sanders Volluz; and his siblings, LaDonna Hitch, Joe Volluz and Donald Volluz.
Edward is survived by his children, Gina T. (Ed) Grebenick of Massillon, OH, and Edward P. Volluz of Belleville, IL; his grandchildren, Bill Thompson, Lori Thompson, Holly Thompson, Mandy Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Dawn (Mark) Chapman, Amy Lynn Volluz, Gina Lee Volluz, Valerie (Nick) Bauer, and Alarabie Volluz; 8 great-grandchildren, Zachary Chapman, Amber Chapman, Alyssa Volluz, Spencer Angleton, Sawyer Schaller, Savannah Thurston, Elliott Thurston, and Ariane Smith.
Per Edward’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private burial will be held with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
