Dawn E. Roush

Dawn Elizabeth Roush, nee Malacarne, age 62, of Caseyville, IL passed away on June 5, 2021, after a battle with pancreatic cancer and a great deal of pain.

Dawn was born in Belleville, IL at Memorial Hospital on January 28, 1959. She attended Belleville East High School. Growing up, Dawn was on the Sundowners Diving Team and loved talking about her high dives.  She was a member of the Elk’s Fairview Heights Lady’s Auxiliary Club. Dawn enjoyed relaxing with a long island iced tea and a good murder mystery on the TV. When she was able, she had so much fun riding motorcycles with her husband and friends.

She was a homemaker, raised two children and helped raise her two grandsons. She was a fantastic cook and sweet iced tea maker but was known for not letting anyone in her kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert J. Malacarne and her mother Patricia Aaron.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Patrick Roush; children, Brandy Sola of Las Vegas, NV, Thaddeus (Emily) Roush of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren Dylan and Riley; her stepmother JoAnn Malacarne; stepbrothers Al and Doug Sanders and stepfather Francis Vernier. Dawn is also survived by many friends and loved ones.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. Fairview Heights, IL.

Private graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
