Charles E. Piper

Charles Edward Piper, age 95, formerly of Fairview Heights, Illinois, passed away March 23, 2024 in Wytheville, Virginia. He was born March 9, 1929 in Hiseville, Kentucky to Chris and Lilly B. (Emmitt) Piper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Christine (Riley) Piper; daughters, Paula Jean Piper, Teleana (Tina) Gray and Vickie Piper; grandsons, Richard Jones II and Bobby Taylor; great grandson, Devon Joe Piper; sisters, Alma (Piper) Herrington, twins, Aleen and Pauleen Piper and Beatrice (Piper) Cantrell and half-brother, Alva Leonard Piper.

He is survived by daughter, Pamela (Richard) Jones, and son, Michael (Virginia) Piper; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Francis McDonald of Woodburn, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Kassly Mortuary Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
