Carolyn Hrabusicky

Carolyn A. Hrabusicky, nee Daschke, age 75, of Fairmont City, IL, born on October 2, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Carolyn was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and retired as an Executive Assistant with Illinois Power after 36 years. After retirement, she worked at Precision Services in Collinsville, IL. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Fairmont City, and the picnic chairperson for many years. Carolyn was also the President of the Ladies Sodality at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Holy Rosary Parish Council and the Village of Fairmont City Zoning Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank F. Hrabusicky; her parents, George and Helen, nee Skaro, Daschke; and her sister, Mary Frances Hursey.

Carolyn is survived by her nieces and nephews, Russell (Lynn) Hursey, Jr., Robert (Christina) Hursey, Peggy (Jim) Casey, and Richard (Frann) Hursey; her great nieces and nephews, Russell (Cori) Hursey, III, Misty (Caleb) Hursey, Rob (Kerry) Hursey, Jeff (Kay) Hursey, Brandi (Shaun) Nall, James (Heather) Casey, Jr., and Alison (Vince) Ventrella; her great-great nieces and nephews, Dalton Hursey, Chloe Nall, Peyton Nall, Geno Ventrella and Angelo Ventrella; and her God-son, Larry Hrabusicky, Jr. Carolyn is also survived by numerous Hrabusicky nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Memorials may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or donor’s choice.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

A procession will leave from Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL, at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
