Carol J. Anderson, nee Heidewald, age 89, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on March 25, 1929 in Peoria, IL, died on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.

Carol loved to read, was a great cook, spending time with her family, and she loved her dog, Daisy.   Carol was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, formerly St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Anderson; her parents, William and Lois nee, Charvet, Heidewald; and her 7 brothers and sisters.

Carol is survived by her children, Larry (Marcy) Anderson of Gurnee, IL, Jan (Mike) Sponsler of Springfield, IL, Mimi Anderson of Springfield, IL, Dana (Brenda) Anderson of Freeburg, IL, Paul (Beth) Anderson of Fairview Heights, IL, Jean Tinge of Fairview Heights, IL, Joanne (Terry) Fowler of Fairview Heights, IL and Kate Anderson of Fairview Heights, IL; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and her brother, John Heidewald.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Building Fund or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights IL with Fr. James Nall officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
