Thomas J. Sargent, Sr., age 92, of Collinsville, IL, born on October 12, 1925 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Thomas was a parts manager at various Ford dealerships for over 40 years, including Brodhead, Bo Beuckman and Jack Schmitt. He was WWII Navy veteran and a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Caseyville, IL. He was also a member of the Fairview Heights Elks Lodge #664, and the VFW, Moose Lodge #4, and American Legion, all in Caseyville, IL, and the Polish American War Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon L., nee Elston, Sargent; his son, Mark L. Sargent; a granddaughter, Janet Sargent; and his parents, Tom and Bess, nee Fahey, Sargent.
He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Sargent, Jr., of Waterloo, IL; his granddaughter, Jeannie (Mike) Thrower of DuQuoin, IL; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no public visitation.
Graveside services for family only will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL, with Father Jim Nall officiating.
