Lolita Lariosa Funk, age 72, of Makati Philippines residing in Fairview Heights, IL the past four years died on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her residence surrounded by the warmth of family.
She loved music, singing and dancing. She loved people, and people loved her, wherever she went she became known as “Madz,” short for mother as she was a mother to all. She possessed strength, always maintaining a playful spirit even when circumstances would have killed such a spirit in others.
She is now with her loved ones that preceded her in the after-life, such as her husband Vernon Edward Funk, her younger sister Flordelina Lariosa Jamilla, and her parents, Nemecio and Dionesia Lariosa.
She is survived by many loved ones including son Vernon Funk, daughter-in-law Amy Funk, grandchildren Malaya and Diyosa Funk, her sister Erlinda Lariosa Cinco, her nieces whom she treated like her own daughters - Mayumi Carter and Lonilin “Elon” Sakae, and grandchildren from Elon, namely Joshua, Seina, and Reina Sakae, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended families in the Philippines, and in-laws in America.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. Jim Nall officiating.
Interment will be held in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 9:15 a.m.
