Jeanette I. (Schaefer) Judd

Jeanette I. Judd, nee Schaefer, age 83, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on February 10, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center, Lebanon, IL in the presence of her loving family, including her daughter, Janet, her great niece Sherry Dillard, her great great niece Sadie Dillard, and her extended Cedar Ridge family.    

Ms. Judd was a meat cutter at Hunter Packing Company for 18 years. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Alvin Judd; her parents, William and Julia, nee Psovaski, Schaefer; and her two sisters, Dorothy Laycok and Florence Schawallenic. 

Surviving is her daughter, Janet (Dennis) Ponder of O’Fallon, IL; her four grandchildren, Jennifer Peterson, Julia Briggs, Jacquelyn (Steven) Swisher, and Janise Ponder; her seven great grandchildren, Dominique, Shaun, Kayleb, Austin, Zoey, Arie, and Mia; and her niece, Sharon (Jim) Daughtery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Heartland Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL. 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating.  Burial of cremated remains will occur at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
