Ginger L. Mordis-Mooney

Ginger L. Mordis-Mooney, age 54, of Belleville, IL, born on February 29, 1964 in Centreville, IL, died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Ginger spent her lifetime in loving service to her family. She was also devoted to public service, including Feed My Peeps, Moms on a Mission, and 618 Missing and Homeless. She was also involved in Making a Difference and always, in street outreach.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Mordis, Sr.; and her sister, Julie Ann Mordis-Nuckolls.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Anthony Mooney; her children, Frank (Denise) Mordis of Imperial, MO, Ashley Dunevant of Belleville, IL, Tony Mooney, Jr., of Swansea, IL, Kristy Speichinger of Belleville, IL, James (Mindy) Mooney of Belleville, IL; and Annie (John) Gotsh of St. Libory, IL; her mother, Frances, nee Weaver, Neumann of Ironton, MO; her brother, Richard E. Mordis, Jr., of Sparta, IL; and 23 grandchildren. Ginger was our loving sister-in-law, niece, aunt and cousin.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL with Chris Tracy officiating.
