Fay DeLeary Obituary

Fay E. DeLeary, age 81, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on August 4, 1936 in Glasgow, MT, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Fay was a graduate of Glasgow High School in Glasgow, Montana. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army from 1954-1978 retiring as a Master Sergeant. He then worked in Civil Service for 21 years and retiring from Scott Air Force Base in 2002. Fay traveled the world with his beloved Annemarie, raising their daughters and serving his country.

Fay was preceded in death by his wife, Annemarie C. DeLeary, (nee Golloch); his parents, George and Nina Mildred DeLeary (nee Lingle); his step-parents, Wilson and Hazel Lingle (nee Rowe); and his siblings, Roberta, Arlene, George, Bernice, Dorothy and Alan.

Fay is survived by his children, Roberta F. DeLeary of Fairview Heights, IL, Monika L. (Randall) Farmer of Ashland City, TN, Heidi A.E. (Richard) Bethel of Moscow Mills, MO and Melissa L. (David) Lamb of Fairview Heights, IL; siblings, Jerry DeLeary of FL, Melody Ann (Leslie) Doyle of TX , Jamie (Debbie) DeLeary of TN, Mary (Bob) Hansen of AL, Martha (Rick) Turner of ID and Donald (Amber) Lingle of ID; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, Disabled American Veterans or to the Purple Heart Association.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. Dave Anderson officiating. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
