Donald Paul Faltus died July 21, 2018 in Columbia, IL. He was born in Belleville June 8, 1929. He attended Cathedral High School and graduated from High School in Albuquerque NM after his parents moved out west before his senior year.
He served our country in the Air Force and was a private pilot. Most of his life he worked as a carpenter and had a contracting company in Tampa, Fla. He was an avid golfer and loved being a member of the Moose Lodge and Carpenters’ Union.
He was predeceased by his parents, Emil Anton Faltus and Margaret King Faltus, his son, Daniel Paul Faltus and his brother, Emil Joseph Faltus.
Donald is survived by 2 grandsons, Devan Faltus and Desten Faltus of Beaufort, SC and one niece, Kathy Faltus Brazinski, Pickens SC. He is also survived by three very dear friends, Anita Hilmes, Tom Kampwerth and Catherine Brandlen as well as several cousins in the area.
As Don wished, there will be no memorial service as he donated his remains to Science.
For those who knew and loved Don remember his hearty laugh and his unending “wait” for the fish to bite.
