Agnes (Willmont) Carroll

Agnes V. Carroll, nee Willmont, age 95, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Nashville, IL, born on November 14, 1922, in East St. Louis, IL passed peacefully at home on Monday, February 26, 2018.

 Agnes worked in clothing sales for many years.  She was a former Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop and received many awards.  She enjoyed handy crafts, camping, cooking and being with family. Agnes was loving and caring to all. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Carroll; her parents, Roy and Margaret, nee Bevelot, Willmont; her siblings Ray Willmont, Norman Willmont, Alfred Willmont, Terry Smith, Ethel Nash, Margaret Moore, and Mary Bearman. 

Agnes is survived by her children, Evelyn (Steve) Tordsen of Urbana, IL, John L. (Delores) Carroll of Belleville, IL and James L. Carroll of Belleville, IL; 5 granddaughters, Christy Johnson, Donna Carroll, Elizabeth Hopkins, Veronica Dunlap and Kelly Cooper; her sisters, Rose Gentry of Oklahoma City, OK and Betty Garza of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. David Boedeker officiating.  Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
