Adam J. Roll

Adam J. Roll, age 39, of Fairview Heights, IL, formerly of Sarasota, FL, born on June 15, 1979 in Conway, SC, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his residence.

Adam was a heavy machine operator who had previously served as a Seabee in the United States Navy.  Adam adored his son, Dylan, with whom he shared his passions of fishing and cooking.  He took great pride in his work constructing buildings on the Sarasota skyline.  Adam will be remembered for being a loving man with a warm heart who showed dignity, compassion and respect for family, friends and strangers.  Adam’s humor, outgoingness and great personality will be missed.

He is survived by his son, Dylan J. Roll of Sarasota, FL; his mother, Claudia J. DuVall of Fairview Heights, IL; his father, Roy (Cindy) Roll of Summerfield, IL, his sister, Chloe DuVall of Fairview Heights, IL; his step-brother, Andy Hamm of Belleville, IL; his step-sister, Zoa Anderson, Belleville, IL; Dylan’s mother and his former partner, Jenny Filla of Sarasota, FL; his aunts and uncles, Barbara (Wesley) Johnson of Fairview Heights, IL, Donald (Denise) DuVall of Shiloh, IL, Charles (Cathy) Roll of Bonduel, WI, John (Terri) Roll of Warrick, RI, and Nancy (Mike) Lampert of Lampertville, IN.  Adam is also survived by many close cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. Mark Queener officiating.  Cremation will follow services.
