William C. "Bill" Miller

William C.  “Bill” Miller, age 93, of East St. Louis, died on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.  Born August 7, 1929, in East St. Louis, IL he was the son of Cash Miller and Anita Belle Mackie.

Bill was a member of the Masonic East Lodge #504 A.F. & A.M., becoming a Master Mason on June 26, 1965.  He was formerly of Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine and High Twelve.

Bill was also a member of the Air Force, stationed in Japan, and served from 1946 to 1949.  He then worked for Terminal Railroad in Saint Louis, MO for 25 years.  Bill was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed sharing his passion for his hobbies with his family and friends.  In 1950, he married the former Rosemary Hillgamyer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Miller, nee Hillgamyer; his son, Larry Miller; and his parents, Cash and Anita, nee Mackie Miller.

Bill is survived by his daughter-in-law, Martha Miller of Collinsville; his grandchildren, Michelle (Craig) Beck, Christine (Chad) Pacewic, David Miller, and Catherine (Bryce) Kvindlog; his great grandchildren, Melody, Grace, and Lauren Pacewic, and Mckenzie, Logan, and Devin Kvindlog; and his siblings, Norman Baker, Joy Baker Cowgill, Charles Miller, and Raymond Miller.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with a Funeral Service at 6:30 p.m. in Kassly Mortuary Chapel.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at City of Caseyville Cemetery, Caseyville, IL.
