Warren O. Rogers, age 80, of O’Fallon, was born from the union of love between Dallas and Celeste, nee Eaves Rogers in Earlington, Kentucky on November 16, 1942, and departed this life on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Warren graduated from J.W. Million High School in 1960 and joined the United States Air Force where he met the love of his life, Ilene Rogers, nee Lillard in 1963. They married April 25, 1964, and from the union of their marriage, two children were born. After 30 years, Warren retired from the Air Force and began a career as the Director of the EEOC (Equal Education Opportunity Center), helping countless individuals in their journey for a better life through higher education.
When not working, Warren loved fishing, barbequing, golfing, playing basketball and spending time with his cherished family. He dedicated his life to Jehovah on July 12, 1997, faithfully serving as an elder, providing loving support to those in the congregation.
Warren was widely known to be a hard-working, self-sacrificing man who was easy to talk to, easier to laugh with, and easiest to love. His smile and distinguished demeanor were cherished by all and will be sorrowfully missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Rogers; his mother, Celeste, nee Eaves Rogers; his brother, Dallas Rogers, Jr.; and his sister, Marilyn Jane Farrow. Left to treasure his memory is his devoted wife of 59 years, Ilene Rogers, nee Lillard; his daughter, Ronda Allen; his son, Warren O. Rogers, Jr.; his granddaughter, Alicia Rogers; and a very special great-grandchild, Aniyah Rogers-Bussey.
