Ginny was a stay-at-home mom for many years while traveling around the States with the military. When finances were low, she would always find a way to get her children what they needed. On most days, she had an in-home daycare to help provide for the family. At the age of 46, she decided to follow in her mom’s footsteps and become an insurance agent with Ellis Insurance in Cahokia. This is just one of the many accomplishments that she was very proud of.
Ginny loved to travel anytime possible, if just down the street for ice cream or across the ocean to visit Hawaii. She enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. If she could make someone else laugh, it would make her day. Ginny had some hard and difficult days dealing with interstitial lung disease for many years, she made use of that to make certain she was always helping others as often as possible even on her worse days. Ginny had a favorite saying “ Dreams do come true.” If Ginny was here today and you were not where you wanted to be in life, she would tell you to work hard and keep dreaming.
Ginny was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived for 14 years with a debilitating lung disease; however, she was fun, silly, full of life and made everyone around her feel comfortable and loved throughout her life. Ginny was simply a joy to be around. Friends and family loved her and her incredible enjoyment in life. She felt God had given her each day to enjoy and live for Him. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
