Virginia L. Williams, nee Blayney, age 91, of Sun City Center, FL, born on April 17, 1931, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Life Path Hospice, Sun City Center, FL.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School and was a retired government civil servant for the Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center, with 30 years of service. She was also a former member of the United Methodist Church of Belleville, IL, a member of the Ainad Belles, and a life member of the original Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse O. Williams; her parents, John and Freda, nee Roberts, Blayney; her daughter, Carol Deichmann; her stepson, Bruce Williams; and her sister and brother, Grace Blayney and Charles (Sunny) Blayney.
Virginia is survived by her children, Jerry Garcia of Cibolo, TX, Gloria Daws of Sun City Center, FL, Janet Hanley of Manassas, VA, Pamela Carter of Fairview Heights, IL, and Joni Meehan of Waterloo, IL; her step children, Tim Williams of Swansea, IL, Theresa Zappia of Belleville, IL, and Kim Johnson of Highland, IL. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
