Viola R. Fink

Viola R. Fink, nee Story, age 95, of Waterloo, IL, born on September 28, 1928, in Granite City, IL, died on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Oak Hill Nursing Home, Waterloo, IL.  She resided at Oak Hill for six years.

Viola was a homemaker and loved playing the slots at the casino and bingo. She also loved to see her grandchildren.  Viola was always happy with her family and loved to cook for them.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John W. Beal; her 2nd husband, Clinton S. Fink; her parents, Paul M. and Ellen, nee Winstead Story; her sisters, Mary Ellen Feilner, Shirley Parker, and Dorothy Mezyk; and her brother, Paul Story.

Viola is survived by her children, Barbara E. (Lawrence) Haeffner, Jr., of Waterloo, IL, and William P. Beal of Moberly, MO; her grandchildren, Michele L. (Royce) Draughn and Melissa A. (Michael) Ghent; 6 great grandchildren, Brittany E. Draughn, Royce B. Draughn, Jayden M. Ghent, Heather Beal, Krystal Beal, and Summer Beal; and her great-great grandchild, Georgia Olivia Trent.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made St. Louis Children’s Hospital or to St. Jude Hospital for Crippled Children.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, IL.
