Thomas Brant Kowalski

Thomas Brant Kowalski, age 48, of Glen Carbon, IL, born on February 29, 1976, in Springfield, IL, died suddenly on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Thomas was a university laboratory research assistant and had a unique bio-medical career, allowing him and his wife Kelly to travel extensively.  He was an absolute animal lover. Kelly and Tom were parents to many fur babies, including the ones they fostered and rescued.  Thomas was an avid hobbyist of collectibles; he enjoyed music and was a skilled musician and gifted drummer.  Most of all, he deeply loved his wife Kelly and his family, and he lived his life for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jeanette, (nee Dollins) Kowalski; and his nephew, Isaac Humphreys.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Kelly, (nee Neal) Kowalski; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Jason) Humphreys of Fairview Heights, IL; his brother-in-law, Patrick (Maggie) Neal of Fairview Heights, IL; and his nieces and nephew, Katie, Eleanor, Hayley, Allison, Joseph and Danielle.

A private family visitation and funeral service were held for Thomas, with Father Jack McEvilly officiating.  

Burial was in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
