Theresa E. Tassallo

Theresa E. Tassallo, nee Grill, age 95, of Swansea, IL, born on May 10, 1926, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Mercy Rehab and Care Center, Swansea, IL.

Theresa was a former housekeeper for the Ramada Inn, Fairview Heights, IL for 20 years and a member of Cyrilian Guild of St. Cyril’s Parish in East St. Louis, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Tassallo, Sr.; her three sons, John V. Tassallo, Keith Tassallo, and Gerard Tassallo; her parents, John and Theresa, nee Pfeffer, Grill, and her brother, John Grill.

Theresa is survived by her children, Stephen (Pauline) Tassallo of Fairview Heights, IL and Theresa (Gari) Hanalei of Greenville, IL; her 11 grandchildren, Stacy Tassallo, Christopher (Christy) Tassallo, Sean Snyder, Madison Tassallo, Cassandra Tassallo, Kyle Brinkley, Ryan Brinkley, Michael Brinkley, Patrese (Justin) Schneider, Natalie Hanalei, and Chad Hanalei; her 6 great-grandchildren, Brittany Meadows, Carly Tassallo, Aiden Hughen, Jacob Tassallo, Avery Schneider, and Kam Schneider; her sisters, Josephine Glowacki of Swansea, IL, and Ann McCurdy of Swansea, IL. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Youth with A Mission, Colorado Springs, CO (YWAM).

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. 

Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
