Theresa R. Mitchell

Theresa R. Mitchell, age 57, of Caseyville, IL, born on November 4, 1966 in Bayonne, New Jersey, died on December 21, 2023 at SLU Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Theresa was a 1984 graduate of Collinsville High School. She earned an Associate Degree in Food Service from Belleville Area College. Theresa worked in the cafeteria for Unit 10 School District Collinsville, IL for over 10 years. Theresa later worked as a Bio-Wet chemist for Illinois Official Grain Inspection for 15 years. Finally, she then became a stay-at-home grandma.  Theresa, along with her husband Terry, was a longtime volunteer for the Collinsville Raiders Youth Football and Wrestling organization for 25 years.

She is preceded in death  by her father, Landon Cary and her brother, Michael Cary.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Terry L. Mitchell Sr; her sons, Terry L. Mitchell Jr (Fiancée Shelby Water) of Troy, IL, Michael Landon Mitchell (Amber Shevlin) of Caseyville, IL; her daughter, Corrine Mitchell (Sam Mize) of Caseyville, IL; her 7 grandchildren; Madyson, Payton, Killian, Raeann, Keith Eugene, Mitchell, and Liam; her mother, Donna R. Cary (nee Luther) of Maryville, IL; brother, Donald Cary (Terri) of New Douglas, IL. She is also survived by an army of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL.
