Thelma Lou Mueller, our dear mother, age 79, of Fairview Heights IL, sadly left us on December 23, 2023.
Our mother was a perfect example of unconditional love. She dedicated her life to serving her family and showing the love of Christ in everything she did. With open arms, she welcomed international students, missionaries, the homeless, the helpless, and community members from churches she had attended over the years. Her family and friends will fondly remember countless meals and the many baked goods she loved to share. Her Christmas and Easter Cookies were simply the best and she gladly taught many of her children and grandchildren her secret recipes. Once you entered our mother's home, you were no longer a guest, you became family and she treated you as someone to be valued, cherished, and loved.
Everyone who knows her feels they have lost their most beloved best friend. Thelma was someone who always led by example and while we are left grieving, we have a peace that surpasses understanding in knowing that we will be reunited once again. She would say her greatest accomplishment in life was living in such a way that showed others the hands and feet of Jesus. Thelma will be missed beyond measure.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Martha, nee Bridges Beaird; her siblings, Thomas Beaird, James Beaird, Estell Moise, and Ed Beaird.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence Mueller; her children, Cindy Rhinehart (Steve) of Collinsville IL, Tim Mueller (Abby) of Kansas City, MO, Brian Mueller (Suzanne) of Fairview Heights, IL, Emily Caponi (John) of Novato, CA, and Nathan Mueller (Amy) of Sun Prairie, WI; her siblings, Mary Indermark of Collinsville, IL and Betty Hilton (Gary) of Ellington, MO, and 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
