Ted Hoef

Ted Hoef, age 72, of Caseyville, IL, born on August 25, 1950, at Christian Welfare Hospital in  East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Ted was a space management engineer for the USDA. He was also a heavy machine operator with Operating Engineers, Local #513 in St. Louis, MO. He later started his own business “Hoef Construction Company.” He later worked in kitchen and home design at HQ and then Home Depot.

He is preceded  in death by his  parents, Tony and Annie, nee Kupsky Hoef; and his brother, Michael “Butch” Hoef.

Ted is survived by his wife, Aleta “Sam” Hoef, nee Reeder; his children, Brian (Christie) Hoef of Collinsville, IL, John (Emilie) of Collinsville, IL, and Melanie Hoef of Caseyville, IL; his grandchildren, Colin Hoef, Dylan Hoef, and Chloe Hoef; and his siblings, Judy (Paul) Keeney of Murphysboro, IL, Jim (Cindy) Hoef of O’Fallon, IL, Jeannie (Jack) Greene of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and BJ Hoef of Belleville, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
