Tammy Jo Ishum

Tammy Jo Ishum, 58, of Marissa, IL, formerly of Madison, IL, born on August 30, 1966, in Granite City, IL, died on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Tammy grew up in Madison, IL, and later married Brad Shoemaker in 1989. She was a former cook at Madison High School for 10 years. Tammy loved going on float trips, dancing, and reality TV shows.

Tammy is preceded in death by her son, Brad Shoemaker, Jr.; her parents, Ralph and Sue (Monroe) Miller; and her brothers, Michael Karius, William Karius, and Larry Miller, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Brad Shoemaker; her children, John Ishum Jr., and Kennedy Wells; her siblings, Keith Miller, Brenda Karius Revelle, Scott Karius, Joe Karius, Glenda Karius Cook, Robin Karius Moran, Bruce Miller, Ralph Miller, and Don Hammond; many loving nieces and nephews; and her four-legged buddy, Milo.
