Tammy L. Englert

Tammy Lynn Englert, age 54, of O’Fallon, IL, born on June 2, 1971, in Belleville, IL, died on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her daughter’s home, in Belleville, IL.

Tammy worked with the developmentally disabled adults through the SAVE and SLC programs in St. Clair County, but lastly, she worked at Wal-Mart in Belleville, IL.  

Tammy was preceded in death by her former husband and good friend, Steven A. Prokopf, who died on March 20, 2025; her father, Harry Lee Englert; her brother, Bruce Englert, and her niece, Leeann Samel Bolhous.

She is survived by her children, Tabatha (Bailey) Kowen of Belleville, IL and Justine Englert (Lenore Lomeli) of West Dundee, IL; her mother, Bonnie Lee Hottenrott of Belleville, IL; her siblings, Mary Van Dyke of Dixon, IL, Cathy Englert of Fairview Heights, IL, Dawn (John) Rensing of Addieville, IL, Michelle (Ricky) Taylor of Gloucester, VA, Cheryl Englert of Walnut Ridge, AR, Jeff Beahringer of Fairview Heights, IL, and Jody (David) Green of Fairview Heights, IL; her dear friend, Amanda Combs of Fairview Heights, IL; her grandpups, Juno, Jinx and Foxy; her grandkitties, Pablo, Tigger and Rue; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great-great nephew.

Memorials are preferred to Shriner’s Hospital or to St. Jude Hospital for Children.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
