Sylas L. Simmons-Nelson

Sylas Lewis Simmons-Nelson, age 9 months, born on November 9, 2023, in St. Louis, MO, died on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Simmons.

Sylas is survived by his parents, Melissa Simmons and Jacob F. Nelson; his brother, Landon Barron, his sister, Isabella Simmons; and his grandmothers, Cynthia Tarbell and Tonya Smith. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral procession will leave at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL  for a 12:45 p.m. graveside service at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
