Susan Lynn Morales

Susan L. “Susie” Morales, age 61, of Fairmont City, born on October 29, 1962, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Susie was a lifelong resident of Fairmont City, IL., and Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  She previously worked as a dental lab technician at Ohlendorf Appliance Laboratory, St. Louis, MO.  Susie was a very loving daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend. 

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Geraldine, nee Booker, Morales, Jr., and her sister-in-law, Buffy Morales.

She is survived by her siblings, Anthony (Diane) Morales of Granite City, IL, David Morales of Caseyville, IL, Linda Ochoa of Fairmont City, and Steven (Karin) Morales of Fairmont City; her 7 nieces and nephews, Andrea (Gerardo Hernandez) Ochoa, Amador (Giselle) Ochoa, Emily Morales, Nicholas Morales, Danielle Morales, Jacqueline (Tajuan) Williams-Birge, and Lisa (Laron) Williams-Cole; 9 great nieces and nephews, Ninel, Laila, Alyssa, Gerardo Jr., Giovanni, Alejandro Jr., Liam, Elaina, D’Laurea, and Mateo; and her beloved poodle, Toby.

Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. with Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
