Steven A. Prokopf

Steven A. Prokopf, age 60, of Belleville, IL, born on June 16, 1964, in Belleville, IL, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.

Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR every Sunday, watching his daughter dance, and seeing his son play soccer.  His favorite times were with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. and Jean M., nee Weilbacher Prokopf; and his brothers, Richard Prokopf and Robert Prokopf.

He is survived by his ex-wife and close friend, Tammy Englert of Belleville, IL; his children, Tabatha Prokopf (Bailey Kowen) and Justin Englert; his siblings, Joann (John) Hiemenz of Bluffton, SC, James (Barbara) Prokopf of Caseyville, IL, Lloyd (Jeanne) Prokopf of Shiloh, IL, David (Diane) Prokopf of St. Jacob, IL, Kevin (Laura) Prokopf of Troy, IL, Elaine (Michael) Fisher of Belleville, IL, and Colleen (William) Wessel of Trenton, IL. Steven is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Sandi Prokopf (Bill Reed) of St. Charles, MO, and Elizabeth “Beth” Prokopf of St. Louis, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children or to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital.

A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held on June 22, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Klucker Community Center, 14 Park Dr., Shiloh, IL.
