Stephanie M. Galetti

Stephanie Michelle (Wagner) Galetti, joined her dad in heaven on February 12, 2021, after a 3-year battle with cancer.  She is survived by her mother Gail Straith Wagner (Sun City, AZ); her brothers Russ Wagner (San Antonio, TX); Joe Wagner (Centralia, IL); Jon Wagner (Marion, IL); her Aunt Karen and Uncle Jay Schmitt (Centralia, IL); Uncle Bill and Aunt Leslie Straith (Centralia, IL); many nephews and nieces, and her two young sons Chance & Rhys. 

Stephanie was born in Bangor, Maine on December 29, 1977.  The family moved to Prescott, AZ in 1988.  She graduated from Prescott High School in 3 years and attended Yavapai College before moving to Illinois.  She received a BS of Science in Social Work and a JD of law at Southern Illinois University.  She was employed at the Law Offices of Gunty & McCarthy in Edwardsville, IL. 

Stephanie was exceptional at almost everything she ever attempted.  She won numerous awards in school, skating, track and law.  Stephanie wanted to make a difference in our world. She donated money to install well water pumps in third world countries, she visited orphanages in Roatan, Honduras and brought supplies and American candy to make their world a little brighter. Stephanie loved children.  She was a foster parent and also raised money and volunteered for her favorite charity, Lighthouse Family Retreat for children with cancer every summer.  Stephanie worshipped at Skyline Church. Her greatest achievement was her devotion and love for her two sons. 

The family invites you to a celebration of her short but amazing life on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Skyline Church located 870 Milburn School Road, O’Fallon, IL 62269. 

A viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. and reception to follow.  Stephanie hoped all who attend, wear bright colored clothes and share funny stories about her life.  Please join us for part or all of this day.
