Stanislaw "Stanley" Madej

Stanislaw “Stanley” Madej, age 90, of O’Fallon, IL, born on April 9, 1930 in Przykop, Poland, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence.

Stanley immigrated with his family to the United States in 1971, and moved to O’Fallon, IL in 1977.  He owned and operated Stanley’s Tailor Shop for 10 years in Fairview Heights, IL.  Stanley was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO. The Madej Family was a part of the local Polish community as they supported many different Polish organizations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrzej and Teofila, nee Pobrat Madej; 6 brothers in Poland; and 3 brothers in the United States, John, Walter and Leon Madej.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Janina Madej, nee, Napieracz; his children, Andy (Iwona) Madej of Des Peres, MO, and Derrick (Dorothy) Madej of Wildwood, MO; his grandchildren, Gabriela Madej, Alexander Madej, Sarah Madej, Kathryn Madej, and John Madej; and his brother, Marian Madej, of Poland.

Memorials may be made to St. Agatha Catholic Church, St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. Stan Poszwa officiating.  Interment will be held in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
