Shirley A. McIlravy

Shirley Ann McIlravy, age 93, of O’Fallon, IL, born on April 3, 1932, in Galesburg, IL, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in O’Fallon, IL, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was a long time resident of Belleville, IL. 

Shirley attended her dream school, Parson’s School of Design in New York.  She loved the beach, gardening her flower beds, and especially liked roses and bird watching.  Shirley was an animal lover.  Most importantly, she was the best mother to her children and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, K. Dean McIlravy; her parents, Carl and Ester, nee Hawkinson, Luvall; and her 5 siblings.

Shirley is survived by her children, Debra (Joe) Heath, Scott (Terri) McIlravy, David McIlravy (Debbie Menard) and Alice (Casey) Sweeney); 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A private graveside service will be held.
