Sharon A. Settles, age 74, of Belleville, IL, formerly of East St. Louis, IL, born on September 27, 1947, in East St. Louis, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Cambridge House, Belleville, IL.
Though legally blind, Sharon saw the world through rose colored glasses. She loved deeply, forgave quickly, was non-judgmental, extending grace to all who crossed paths with her. She loved sports, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Rams, and her newest love, the Kansas City Chiefs. Sharon attended East St. Louis schools until she was 16 years old. She then was involved working at S.A.V.E located in Alton, IL for several years. She enjoyed everyone in her assisted living facility, Cambridge House.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Anna Lou, Settles; her brother-in-law, TC Coleman; and her great-nephew, Jeff Bennett.
She is survived by her three sisters, Charlotte (Mel) Gunter of Mascoutah, IL, Tina Coleman of Freeburg, IL, and Joni (Don) Harper of Fairview Heights, IL; her nieces and nephews that she loved as her own children, spoiling them and praying for each, Rob (Teresa) Gunter, Jeff (Janel) Fields, Jennifer Coleman, Jeremy Gunter, Kristan (Steve) Rodgers, Christa Whetstone, Andrea Fields, Matt Harper, Mike (Lindsey) Whetstone, Josh (Katie) Harper, Cassie (Andrew) McFadden, and Zac Harper; her great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her family would like to express gratitude to Cambridge House and their staff for their compassionate care and friendship to Sharon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Winstanley Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Winstanley Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Dr. Timothy Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Marissa Cemetery, Marissa, IL.
