Scott D. Ganey, age 49, of Belleville, IL, born on October 31, 1973, in Belleville, IL, died on Sunday, August 6, 2023, in Belleville, IL.

Scott Ganey was a cherished individual who touched the lives of many with his warm heart and infectious smile. He will be remembered as an extraordinary father, brother, and friend, with an unwavering love for his three children, who meant the world to him.

Sports were a significant part of Scott's life, and he had an unyielding passion for everything related to them. As a die-hard Redskins fan, he experienced the highs and lows of the game, but his love for sports extended beyond football. He also found joy in watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Penguins play, making sure to catch their games whenever he could.  In addition to his sports enthusiasm, Scott had a flair for the spooky and eerie. Horror films and all things Halloween-related were among his favorite pastimes. He embraced the thrill and excitement they brought and eagerly shared these interests with family and friends.

The bond he had with his loved ones was truly special, as Scott cherished moments spent with them. Whether it was gathering for a game, watching a spooky movie marathon, or simply being in each other's company, these cherished memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Diane, nee Greenfield and Dennis Ganey.

Scott is survived by his significant other, Christina Mulero; his children, Kayla Mulero, Kiara Ganey and Marcus Ganey; and his siblings, Karen Kennedy, Dennis (Stacy) Ganey, Doug (Kim) Ganey, and Danny Ganey.

Scott Ganey's presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May we find comfort in the joy he brought to our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Scott.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
