Sandra Lee Knobeloch

Sandra Lee Knobeloch, nee Bertholdt, age 82, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on October 7, 1939, in Belleville, IL, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at her residence.

Sandra was a medical records supervisor at the Base Hospital, Scott Air Force Base for 15 years.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, insatiable reader, music lover, quilter, and amateur food historian. She also possessed an unrelenting spirit in fighting and beating cancer after 35 years. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hund; her second husband, Arthur Knobeloch; and her parents, Laurel and Esther, nee Yaeger Bertholdt.

Sandy is survived by her children, Julia Hund of Mascoutah, IL, Phil (Liz) Hund of Lebanon, IL, and Richard (Catherine) Hund of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Buchheit, Amelia Hund, and Christopher Hund; her great-granddaughters, Rose Buchheit and Mae Buchheit; her brother Jim (Jean) Friess of Mascoutah, IL; and her dear friend, Pat Schmidt.

Memorials are preferred to Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Per Sandra’s wishes, no services will be held.
