Gil, Ruth, Jill and families,

I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. What an inspiration she was for all of us over the years. She was so full of life and lived life to the fullest. I have missed her since I retired but will always remember her for her smiles and joking personality. Ruth and my mom would laugh and reminisce of the old Grant School days when they were volunteering at the Auxiliary. Our deepest sympathy to you all. She will always be remembered.

Dear Gil, Ruth, and Jill,

Your mother was one of the most vibrant, sweet, and caring ladies I knew when I was at St. John’s UCC. Even when I would see her at various events after I moved on from St. John’s UCC, she always had a smile on her face and always gave me a big hug. I now live across from where all of you grew up, Pearson Drive, and every time my wife and I take a walk, we go by your old house and I tell her stories of your mom and dad. It seems like just yesterday when your dad and I sang in choir together and we would carry on and tell jokes during rehearsals.

My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Gil, Ruth Elaine, and Jill,

Your mother was such a sweet, kind, caring lady. She always had a smile for everyone she met. When I asked about her family she always had a new story to tell about one of her grandchildren. She loved all of you and was so proud of you. We will miss her smile at St. John. She was such a dear lady. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Ruth,
I am very sorry to learn of your loss. I fondly remember your mom teaching Vacation Bible School at St. John’s UCC during our much younger years. My deepest sympathies to you and your entire family.

Gil, Ruth Elaine, and JIll, your mom was such a presence in my life. I remember her teaching VBS at church when I was a child, serving with my husband, Jim, as financial secretaries for church together, being active in Evening Circle, and overseeing the altar with my mom. I used to call them the church ladies. As I have taken over altar duties, I always made sure I asked Ruth's opinion on the newest altar cloth or banners. She was always an enthusiastic supporter of activities and events at church. I will miss her dearly. My sincere condolences to all of you.
