Ruby "Elaine" Thomure

Ruby E. “Elaine” Thomure, age 76, of Pinckneyville, IL, born on September 17, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion, IL.

Elaine worked at Blueline Chemical Company and Arby’s Restaurant.  She liked to fish, play bingo, read, and spend time with her family and her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Sherman Gill; her parents, James A. Hume and Ruby, nee Carman Thompson; and her siblings, James Hume, Helen Austin, and Charles Hume.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Gary Thomure; her children, James Gill and Jason (Teresa) Gill; her granddaughter, Katrina Dawn Malone; her sister, Kathy Thompson; and her furry friends, Chubby, Rusty, and Snuggy. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
