Rose D. Sieling, nee Furmanek, age 97, of Lebanon, IL, born on March 24, 1926 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her residence.
Rose worked as a secretary at the East Side Health District, East St. Louis, IL. She was great bowler and loved to dance. Rose was a wonderful woman and a devout Catholic who never met a stranger who didn’t love her. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Sieling; her parents, Frank and Caroline, nee Wenc, Furmanek; three brothers, John Furmanek, Charles Furmanek, and Theodore Furmanek; six sisters, Helen (Kenneth) Bild, Stella (Martin) Gannon, Mary Furmanek, Frances (Lalo) Alvarado, Jane (Kenneth) Isselhardt, and Dorothy (John) Wielgus; her nephews, Michael Wielgus, Ronald Bild, and David Isselhardt; her granddaughter, Jackie Sims; and her beloved dog, Buddy.
Surviving are her daughters, Marcia (Allen) Sims and Carol (Lawrence) Halstead Kwiatkowski; her grandchildren, John Halstead and Mark (Kate) Sims; her step grandchild, Justin (Kelley) Kwiatkowski; her great granddaughter, Rayna Sims; her step great grandchildren, Beckham, Kodi, and Brody Kwiatkowski; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Father Jim Dieters officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
