Roger A. Goodwin Obituary

Roger A. Goodwin, age 54, of Collinsville, IL, born on January 30, 1967, in Belleville, IL, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Roger was an operations manager for Terminix for 15 years.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a avid Cardinals baseball fan.  Roger enjoyed the fall season and his BMW.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Jean, nee Kurth Goodwin.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Goodwin, nee Birk; his children, Colin Goodwin and Hannah Goodwin; his father, Edgar D. (Meredith) Goodwin; his sister, LaDean (Bob) Goodwin Scheurer; his brother-in-law, Bill (Marsha) Birk; and his nieces and nephews, Kathryn Scheurer, Christian Scheurer, Matthew Birk (Seth Whitworth), and Danielle Birk.

Memorials may be made to Colin’s college fund.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL with Fr. John Beveridge officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
