Robyn D. Borawski, age 67, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on January 11, 1958, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Maryville, IL.
Robyn dedicated 46 years of her life as a scheduler and administrative assistant at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where her kindness, work ethic, and quiet strength touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers. Her dedication extended far beyond her career, deeply rooted in her faith and service to the community. She was a longtime member and active volunteer at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Elizabeth Ann Seton, and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Over the years, she took on many volunteer roles, including serving as Bingo Coordinator at OLA, Treasurer for the Elizabeth Ann Seton Athletic Association, and a volleyball coach. She was also a tireless cheerleader—supporting not only her own children but every child in the community with equal heart and enthusiasm.
Family meant everything to Robyn. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, especially during holidays as she had a special way of making everyone feel at home. Her strength, faith, and unconditional love will remain an enduring legacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Merva, nee Richter Carter; and her brother-in-law, Gerald Niedzwiecki.
Robyn is survived by her husband, Frank Borawski; her children, Andy (Ashley) Borawski, Bryan (Anna) Borawski, Sara (Gregory) Wagner, Nicole (Matt) Maple, and Kevin (Kayla) Borawski; 13 grandchildren, Isabel, Benjamin, Finley, Oliver, Autumn, Layne, Theodore, Harrison, Maliah, Lucas, Hudson, Carter and Merva-Lynn; and her siblings, Michael Carter and Pamela Niedzwiecki.
